Some members of the retro gaming scene are advanced users who create and share custom builds for the Light Gun community. These custom builds can save time for newbies or for those who want a specific setup.
Many configure Light Guns and controllers within the front end but they may still need require calibation and settings to be updated depending on what Light Gun(s) you have. This includes setting up trigger and button mappings for your preferred gun.
Our Light Gun community is active and supportive and these builds will allow you to get up and running very quickly ... as long as you have a fast internet connection (as the builds can be large)! 😉

We present the latest version of Scotty Retro's Gunbuild with over 360 titles to choose from (with a download size of 280gb). This updated build has been tested with Retroshooter pistols and Gun4ir but could also work with others. We thank Scott Ocana for his work which is available exclusively from our friends at RetroManiacUS.
You need to be a member of RetroManiacUS to gain access to their website where the build is available for download. Sign in details can be found in this post so join their Facebook group for access.

We have another pack of Flash Player games for Light Guns thanks to LGL member, Ryan. All up, he has put together 74 beauties for your enjoyment. Each of the games are portable with scripting to make it easier for you. The exe file opens the game in full screen mode with reload and weapon changes mapped. Closing the game is also mapped to your escape button.
If you'd like to add them to an existing LaunchBox/BigBox build, drop them into your games directory. You can then drag and drop all exe files into the LaunchBox front end and setup each as a Windows game. Feel free to tweak the name and skip media for auto import.

The Retro Minis team have given us this Retro FE Light Gun Build of around 40gb made especially for Sinden Light Guns. While it's primarily a Sinden build, it has been tested with Aimtrak guns and can be tweaked to work with others like Gun4IR.

Whilst this isn't a build per se, we have a downloadable pack of 24 Flash Player games for Light Guns thanks to LGL member, Noletemo.
As you will know, Flash Player was removed from web browsers/operating systems and officially discontinued at the end of 2020. To overcome this issue, the pack includes the Flashpoint Installer software to allow swf files run. There are also media files to use in your preferred front end.

Uncle Rick is a straight shooter. He tells you like it is and it may hurt some feelings but you know exactly what you're getting. Uncle Rick likes his classics. Classics like a '57 Chevy, your mom backstage at the 1988 Motley Crue Tour and shot-gunning Stella's while playing Big Buck Hunter.
This build comes in at 93gb and features around 130 games with titles from Mame, Nes, Mastersystem, ActionMax, American Laser Games, Sega Model 2 & 3, Naomi, Teknoparrot and Atomiswave. It's setup for 2-player Sinden with detailed instruction and video tutorials for all gun types.

This is Batocera build is a bootable image of around 230gb which fits on a 250gb SSD (or micro SD card) and works on Steamdeck and PC. In total, the image has over 380 games across multiple platforms - noting we've left v39 foundation games in there as Easter eggs and added quite a few Windows games. The build has been tested on Gun4ir and works with other guns including retro shooter in 2-player mode (with calibration now working).
There is also a v38 build on Arcade Punks if you have issues and want the old version.

This 222gb Launchbox/Big Box Lightgun build that has been fully configured for Sinden users thanks to Evolushroom. All up, there are over 180 light gun and shooter games included.
The build has been configured for full screen mode using the Sinden's dPad for menu navigation. To exit the game, press ESCAPE on your Keyboard (or you can map it on your Sinden). It's running with standard Sinden borders with some games requiring reshade.
Note: This build does not contain Launchbox, however it is free to download (Bigbox requires your own license key). Please read all the installation instructions provided by Evolushroom on Arcade Punks.

YouTuber, Retro Gaming Guy, created this awesome Batocera Light Gun Build for the Steam Deck with over 300 classic light gun games and some newer ones thrown in for good measure!
You can use the Sinden Light Gun, Wiimote (with Mayflash Dolphin Bar) or just use a mouse.
Note: Some setup may be required depending on what gun you use!

It's a beasty little Light Gun Only image for your PC, running the latest V38 Batocera and self booting once burnt to media and inserted into PC. This 128gb Batocera Build promises to be compatible with Sinden, Fusion and Gun4IR.

It's an early Christmas present with this stand alone Kids Collection build of 37 family friendly gun games - just under 20GB unzipped but hours of fun!
Just unzip and double click the "Kids Collection" shortcut in the RetroFE root folder.
Don't forget to review the "Read-Me" files (in the read me folder!) and there are also a few tutorials in there as well.

This is a “just for fun” release and wont overtake the BioHazard add-ons if you already have them. This is a standalone “Zombie” light gun build for the Aimtrak light guns (and possibly others).

This build is configured using AimTrak guns (1 and 2 players).
Its 9 zip files in total and about 300 GB unzipped. You should just have to unzip the first one and it will automatically unzip all in one folder (I use 7-Zip). After unzipped, open the folder and PLEASE read the Read-Me files in the Read-Me folder before you begin.

The Arch does it again! This time this absolutely AMAZING Fully Loaded Sinden Light Gun Build based on CoinOps Next 2 – this is one well put together pack and in our opinion one of the best for a home build cabinet – some configuration is required (see below) but its well worth it in the end!
